WB Starts up but wont engage any Settings

Windows 8.1 WB wont work

I am running windows 8.1  just installed Windowblinds 5.0  it starts up but wont change anything

i get message

WindowBlinds 8.05 (027 - Windows 8 Edition) - 64 bit OS
WindowBlinds is not installed correctly on this PC. If you did not reboot after installing WindowBlinds 8 for the first time, then please reboot and try this again.

 I have uninstalled reinstalled rebooted turned off virus scanner, tried compatibility function, put windows to basic mode..  , so far I am  not impressed..this is the free version thank god i didnt buy it yet... and I wont until i get a working copy...

First the information  you posted seems a bit skewed. You said you're running Windows 8.1 but the about info says Windows XP. It also says the version you have is WindowBlinds 8.05 which is the correct one for Windows 8 yet you stated that you have installed version 5. Uninstall the version you have. Run CCleaner to take out any left over files and reboot. Go to the Stardock site and download a fresh version of WindowBlinds. Install that one and reboot. Being that this is a holiday weekend no one will be working until Monday morning. The hours are 9 to 5 Monday to Friday. If it doesn't work send an email to [email protected] and wait for an actual answer, not the auto reply. Send only one as any additional ones will send you to the end of the line.
