ok. try to frame up a question for this answer:

FRANKLIN D ROOSEVELT is the first president of the United States.

how do you frame up a question????

NOTE: YOU WANT TO KNOW 'WHETHER FRANKLIN' is 1st 2nd or 3rd...NOT "WHO" is the 1st president. thats easy:
who is the first president of the United States of America

Franklin Roosevelt if whichEST president of United States??

common...any ENGLISH masters here?
give it a try...

Ok, I'm not good at American history (or any history, for that matter) but I'll give it a shot.

1. Disregarding all presidents before Franklin Roosevelt, tell me the first president of the United States of America.

2. I'm gullible, can you tell me who the first president of the USA was?

3. Lie to me. (not quite a question, but think something along those lines)

Ok, this is my best try:

In numerical order of US presidents, where does FRANKLIN D ROOSEVELT lie?

Ummm.. hows that?

I framed a question that definitely would give that statement as an answer.
It has nothing to do with the statement's truth or accuracy....since all you wanted was a Q that would result in that specific 'A'...

George Washington (1732-1799) was the first President of the United States of America.

Actually, that's wrong. The first President of the United States was John Hanson, unanimously elected by Congress (which included George Washington) in in 1781. There were actually a total of 7 Presidents prior to Washington:
- John Hanson (1781)
- Elias Boudinot (1783)
- Thomas Mifflin (1784)
- Richard Henry Lee (1785)
- Nathan Gorman (1786)
- Arthur St. Clair (1787)
- Cyrus Griffin (1788)

But, George Washington was the first President under the current Constitution. But not the First President of the United States.

FYI.
