Windowblinds XP Taskbar problems - help please?

I've had this problem for ages, and can't seem to work around it. I hope someone more knowledgeable can help me.

I've got a lot of quick launch icons set up on my taskbar, which means that in order to comfortably navigate several open windows via their takbar buttons I require a double width taskbar. This isn't an issue when using the standard MS 'XP-Style' taskbar; it remains at double-width, whenever I boot/reboot.

Unfortunately, with WindowBlinds my taskbar reverts to its standard width whenever I boot into Windows. This happens *without fail*, every time the machine is booted running WB. I'm using the most current version, 3.5, but this has plagued me since version 3.0. I've searched the web for a solution, but nothing has turned up.

I know this isn't a Windows issue because when I revert to the default MS 'XP Style' taskbar/skin I get my double-width taskbar, every boot, without fail. So can anybody help me? Please?

Oh, another thing; when exiting Windows I get the message 'Windowblinds: This program is not responding; click on End Task to exit this application without saving. All unsaved data will be lost' or something to that effect. My comp eventually shuts down anyway, but this is a nuisance. I've never had the problem before. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Becky (Joust).

This is an XP bug that unfortunately impacts WB users. Switching from Windows XP style to Windows Classic is what does it. WB has to do this every time it starts up, so it happens every time. The known workaround is to stack two toolbars (eg quicklaunch and one other, possibly empty toolbar).

Resizing it programmatically has been attempted but hasn't worked yet (I tried it myself, it's not as easy as you'd think it would be).

No idea about the shutdown message, sorry.

Go taskbar properties, unlock the taskbar, click 'new taskbar' and give it a title, I'm running 4 groups, graphics, internet, office, etc, so it means you group similar apps.
Go to my documents and you should have 4 (in my case) folders all suitably titled.
Open the appropriate folder, create a shortcut to what ever is to go in the folder and that's it.
"Graphics" in my case includes PSP7, Photoshop, Illustrator and so on.
Don't make the title of the bars too long, they take up too much space!
When finished, lock taskbar and thats it!
Right click on the new bar and you get a popup to go on with, and no need for a double depth task bar.
Dead easy!
