Vote 4 the best crooners

Vote 4 the best crooners

OK, here's a poll that most people would like to participate in, rate the three best singers according to you: era, language no bar. If he/she is not well known outside the region, maybe it would help to put in a little description. But mind you, NO GROUPS. just solo artists.

No, I'm sorry to say I don't have Todd's innovative stuff, but I've seen Gabriel on tour MANY times and every time he just blew me away. Tony Levin on the 'Stick'. He is awesome. I've seen Todd a few times too!

durn dude,,we are definitely on the same page!! Get The Interocitor if you can afford it,20 something bucks a year, and you get this very groovy browser to let you in to his world. With special content available for those who subscribe. They can fix problems from their end sometimes and are quite nice about it.So far it is working well for me.I'm surprised more crooners are not doing this.

sure,,I just looked at your profile and will send to that address if valid.Just do a Google on Todd and It should take ya right there. It is kinda funky the last time I looked at it but is fairly easy to understand.Just download The Interocitor then sign up for the service,Pay Pal,They will set you up and then you have direct access to Toddz busy life.Tons o fun.Lots of very cool stuff,,he practically invented this musician internet thing.I will email ya some stuff when I can look it up though.I got to see him in Charlotte NC on the Accapella tour,,and other times too,but Accapella was intense. All singers no instruments.Todd so rules.

Thanks brazil, you know I did check that out a few years ago and I think I balked at paying for it, but I'm willing to give it a second go. My address is valid, thanks for your help, mate!

So many people tell me "Todd can't sing". You and I know just how wrong they are!

Its kind of like they have to set you up on their end too,,so when you get the Interocitor most features will not be immediately available until you get you emails to fill you in.It usually takes 72 hours. The stuff you can see though is enough to get you to pay I think.Be sure to read the requirements and I'll help if ya need it,,

I listened to bit of meatloaf once..
I think it was 'I would do anything for love (but I won't do that)'..

hmm I don't really listen to voice much, I'm more into music for the background thump & vibes or vibrations... hehe
but if I had to choose a nice voice I think that girl from sixpence none the richer...

Great topic!

Well, many good mentions here so I'll just tack on some of my favs that haven't been listed above since there are plenty of good lady crooners too :

In no particular order since all of the artists below are all so gifted and talented in their own way that to place them in a “best to worst” would be shameful:

Soft, sweet female crooners:
~Tony Braxton (“Unbreak my heart” is sooooo beautiful and many others, her voice takes you to the edge and back).
~Sarah McLachlan (Her voice is just so lovely to listen to and "In the arms of the Angel" still can make me cry when I hear it).
~Sade (Beautiful, sultry, sexy and utterly feminine voice).
~Natalie Umbruglia (She has a certain vulnerability to her voice that is hauntingly beautiful).
~Shania Twain (Her voice is so pretty it almost tickles to listen).
~Anita Baker (A voice that is like a heavenly instrument if ever there was one).

Strong, powerful female crooners:
~Celine Dion (I know she’s been overplayed to death but boy can she hit those notes)!
~Alannah Myles (Black Velvet was her big hit…I dunno if she’s come out with anything since then but her whole CD rocked)!
~Annie Lennox (Her voice tells you like it is in no uncertain terms ).

BTW If anyone is terribly bored you today (he-he) can hear me croon on my ten dollar computer mic to a generic midi file (what a sales-pitch but hey it's all I had to work with! ) at: http://www.darkseraphim.com/ds/music/Angel.zip

Hmm. I'm studying up on skinning...widgets and goblins and warlocks oh my!
