Ok, What does Ruchele have up HER sleeve? Changing icons in xp is pretty idiot proof, just right click on the icon you want to change, in this case AIM, and click on properties. Then click the customize tab and click change icon at the bottom. From there you can browse your system for an icon you want to use. I keep icons I have downloaded in a special folder, and also you can look in Plus!, or Desktop Architect if you have it. Here is the trick however, if you want to use an Icon that YOU have created in paint or some other program, you need an Icon converter, a program that converts your .bmp and .jpg's into .icl format. There are several good ones, try Microangelo, IconUtils, or do a search for other ones, both of these are shareware and give you a 21-30 day trial period and are well worth the 20 bucks they cost. Have fun, the first thing I got hooked on with my pc was playing with the Icons, I hate all those standard buttons. Oh by the way you can change the icons in your Quick Launch the same way as above!! Have Fun!!
