Can someone tell me HOW to resize my XP Icons. I am sick of the 48x48 standard and would like to make them BIGGER.

You could send them to Texas because everything is bigger in Texas.
Seriously, I seen several ways but can't recall where any of them are. I use Microangelo On Display to manage icons but I think Icon Packager or TweakShell has settings for icon size.
If you don't have either of those then I would assume that in the configuration of Windows there should be a setting.

The DesktopX next version will have a option to use bigger icon sizes on you desktop (i think up to 128x128 sizes). If i inderstand correctly the Stardock magazine, desktopx2 (the next version) will be capable to apply animations, transitions and special effects to desktop icons.
The first betas will come this fall/winter. Stay tunned at your Component Manager (if you are a OD customer) or at Wincustomize news.

what is with the need to have larger icons. my pc is almost 3yr old so I am thinking the newer ones need larger icons to see or something.
seems to me that icons clutter up the look of a desktop. i have all the icons hidden so the view of the fantastic walls ppl make can be seen un-obscured.
Is bigger an in thing now?

believe it or not their is an easier way where you don't need to download anything... I did this the other day... wanted to see what would happen... click on your desktop with right button... click the apperence tab, then the button marked advanced... in the bottom left hand corner the button marked other advanced controls... and out of the pull down menu where you would change the color and size of everything... select the word icon... and the size will be 48, you can make as big as you want up to 72, ir you make it anything other that 16, 32, 48, or 72 the icons will look somewhat blurry though... so be carefull and have fun...

skipped a step... after you click on the desktop you must select properties.... post back, and let me know how it works for you...

Sally: some people actually use the desktop as a usefull Windows feature, not just as wallpaper.

Often I don't use any wallpaper at all, it seems to clutter up the look of all my beautiful icons.
