Which theme package is the least of a resource hog ??

I'm pretty new to all this skinning business, the one main question I have right now is this...Of all the theme software packages out there (litestep, windowsblinds, etc) which is the least of a resource hog? I once tried desktop X but I noticed a significant slowdown, it was a while ago so maybe things have changed. Windows blinds I read was incorporating a GUI speed up but is that really the case? Thanks for any help here.

I have used windowblinds running a small processor. I would say how small but I don't want anyone laughing at me.
With that small processor I had 64mg of ram and running Win 98
I never had any trouble with Windowblinds being a burdon.
DesktopX yes I had that suck all my resources but if the theme was small it was OK.

Everytime I use SkinStudio (ya, I know, SkinStudio!), it sucks up all my resources,particularly if I try to move anything around). DesktopX, too. Usually crashes, unfortunately. That's with 128mb ram, too. Might be Me (the OS, or maybe it's just ME).
