needs some help: puting up a server.... how to have a streaming site.

At the moment i am working on a server. it's running under win 98.
I would like to have a site running on it, streaming, so people can log i/out and download stuff from my site.
Some people told me i would need iis (internet information server) but i could'nt find the download any where. Can somebody please help me out

Assuming you have enough bandwidth to support a site (cable or DSL??) just get Xitami http://www.xitami.com and set-up a web server using that and if ya can put together some html you can put a site up, Xitami also supports FTP if you wanted to have a public FTP directory...it does help if you are competent to do this but it's also a great learning experience. You can also get a URL redirect for your IP from places like Name Keeper http://www.name-keeper.com
