wounds like 16 bit is just easier for your pc to handle.

and depends on what you mean by 'video'. every format and every codec has its oddities. your video card, ram, etc would have something to do with it, too.

sounds != wounds, sorry.

I'd say that your graphic card isn't up to handling 32 bit colour in whatever resolution you are running, either that or your driver needs some updating.

Codecs can cause all sorts of problems as well, depending on how good the proggy is at getting/using the right one.
Even the monitor res/refreshrate/colour depth handling could be maxed...

i'd say its a vidoe prob. because , win media and win3 all show the same pro.but i'll update my video card because i never up dated it.

I used to have this problem for a long time where every time I played a video game, or a movie, or anything graphically demanding in 32 bit my monitor would just shut off... you know... where you just get the blinking light and you are like what happened... eventually I discovered after updating my drivers... and things... that the screen refresh rate... I think it was set to like 100 hz or something way high... and I have an Nvida Geforce2Mx400 I set it to 60 hz and that settled it.... you may want to try that... too... see if that is giving you preformance issues.... and also when you say video do you mean dvd??? the problem you are describing is happens when playing a dvd if someone disables DMA.... just curious??? try those two things though... and hopefully they will settle your problem...

Unsupported res AND refresh-rates, together, will give you a blank screen....[or a pyrotechnic molten blob where your monitor used to be]...
