Newbie question, I'm not trying to ruffle feathers or be discourteous

I'm new to this world of skinning, menuing, etc and have been actively researching the web for information.

What I would like to know is, what is the difference between WindowBlinds and NextStart? Do these two programs target the same user and do many of the skin designers use both? In other words, are they competing products? If they are, I don't mean any disrespect for this bulletin board by mentioning a competitors product, I'm still learning the ropes on the world of skinning.

Thanks for any help or information, and I apologize if I ruffled any feathers.

Well, NextStart is more a competitor of DesktopX or ObjectBar rather than window blinds.
NextStart won't skin your windows, but rather, will change the way your desktop works.
And you didn't ruffle any feathers, try them all if you can, and see which one suits you best. But I definitely recommend that you try Window Blinds first, see what it does to your system and then decide what kind of desktop enhancement software you would like.
