what theme are you trying to put on?

If it's a windowblinds skin, you need windowblinds > http://www.windowblinds.net
If it's a desktopX theme, you need desktopX > http://https://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/

etc, etc

It's sad that people ask for help but don't tell you what they need help with. > They must want you to guess.

Maybe they need help on finding what it is exactly with which they need help.

What's sad is they ignore the Help, and About links........ and act as if they're pissed at the ones they want help from.

Thats sad also Koasati, but you know, it's easier to have someone tell how than to read how to do it. That would cut down on about 50% of the questions if they read first.

Makes me wonder if the FAQ pages I'm putting together are a waste of time.

sorry to dissapoint you, but they most probably are
deviantart has a very complete faq for example. look at their forums and you´ll see how much it helped ...

Who knows Koasati, guess we'll have to wait and see. If they put the Q & A at the top of each catagory (which no one reads) with the program, maybe someone might see it and read it. But it does seem that it's easier to ask than read. It's getting to the point that I'am getting tired of answering the same questions day after day. >

Well the faq will be for these folks that ask the same questions that we answer repeatedly......... we just give them the link, and force them to read or remain ignorant...

What? What question? Did someone ask for help? Read the FAQ. The what? What's that? Remember that alot of people don't know that much about the Web or their own computers for that mattter. Often times a Web Page is a morass of information and plowing throught it is a daunting task. Patience is a virtue. Etiqutte is too.

What does 'FAQ' mean?

and...

'RTFM'?

'I need help to know how to ask for help'.....

'I need help to know when I need to ask for help'.....

Help.....I have a silver spoon, but can't find my mouth...

Randy....I'm 'sure' your FAQ list will be a go-er...hang in there...[I'm frog hunting]...

I think you all are so great to help these people out. There is a saying about "helping those who help themselves". Can't see anything wrong with that. People need to do a little research, especially pertaining to this very costly computer equipment. It's like "measure twice, cut once". The FAQ page may help to train (some) not all, in the fine art of reading and figuring things out. Which can be ever so gratifying, when you accomplish it. Might be doing some a favor, in the long run.

'HELP! I have a road map and a flashlight and I still can't find my own butt!' >
FAQ ... yes indeed Koasati, I think these type of posts should just be pointed straight at them.
