Apache = a web server

Oracle is a dababase, while Perl is a programming language.

beyond that my knowledge starts to get a bit shakey.

i dont quite see the connection between what soulds like a job advert, and learning php scripting.

to be honest, if you dont know what the words mean, you probably arent qualified

No, you don't need to know java/perl to learn PHP scripting.
PHP scripting is based on Perl, like ASP is based on VB script, but it's not Perl per say.
Perl is not so hard to learn. In fact it's one of the easy scripting languages. Easier than Oracle, I recon.
Apache is a web server. Commonly used on the *nix platform.

Easiest way to create a Perl program. Turn on Caps Lock. Now run your hands fingers back and forth randomly over your top keyboard row (the one's with the numbers and symbols. There ya go. Instant Perl code.

I'm actually thinking of making a V2 of that suite (Which I can't remember the name of right now either ), but that won't be untill I get a new PC, which might be a while.

ASP based on VB? I think not. ASP (Active Server Pages) is merely an interpreter that runs on IIS (in the form of an ISAPI dll, I think) that processes pages as they are requested. Any scripting language included in the windows scripting host (VB, Javascript, etc...) can be used to code ASP.

Oracle is a relational database management system and not a language. It does, however, allow for the coding of stored procedures in PL/SQL - a variant of SQL (Structured Query Language).

PHP is indeed based on Perl and is very popular with the *nix community (it can also be used on the windows platform).

Apache is a representative of a native American (North american to be precise) tribe.

Please Hippy??? I really like it. I can't seem to make it into XP. I can't figure out how to make it match in ObjectBar either.... can't you just borrow a computer or something??

Well, I look foward to it, if you do update it. I is a really fine skin.

I know about Oracle and PL/SQL... just when I think I learned something that puts me in the running to get a tech job I fine more stuff they want you to know. Perl, Java, PHP.... PeopleSoft!! I never even heard of People soft until I read the want ads!!!! I will soon learn asp and asp.NET and already know VB script, some of Javascript and C++ , but then they say "Learn C or C#." Then they say "Don't forget Perl and the up and coming ColdFusion (CFM).

I just want to be a database manager/consultant/designer with internet/extranet/intranet capability focusing on security and web design.

Aren't they all related? I think so. Then there is this skinning thing... a gold mine if you ask me. If done right it can be incorparated to all the adformentioned with desktop gui design and company infrastructure managment, quality effiecincy, and a more human orianted work intoerface.

I really like the color pink. I do not know why. I hate purple. I love blue. Can anyone help understand what I have to do to become a geek? And what does it hjave to do with the colors I like?

hey speaking of questions and what is stuff. I was wondering what is LogonStudio and is it easy to skin. I have windows 2000 so I can't use it suppossedly even though I have a logon screen (Novel). Can I still make a skin for it without having XP?

Joe....

You discovered that the previously mentioned business-oriented interface intended for efficient management is colourful.

Sounds like a message to me...dunno why you'd want to hide it, though....
