WindowBlinds skins are a different format. Therefore you need the WindowBlinds program to use them: http://www.windowblinds.net

WindowsBlinds skins are files ending in either a .wba or .zip extension. They're really compressed files containing the graphics and configuration information needed for the skin. WindowBlinds skins can optionally also contain sounds, wallpapers, and icons.

The .wba extension is used even though its a zip file so that if you doubleclick it, the OS knows to use WindowBlinds to install the skin.

If you have the WindowBlinds program installed, you'll find an Appearances tab under your display properties. From there you can add/delete/switch to skins.

Thanks Chris. I appreciate your help. One last thing. You said that window blinds are a different format from Style XP. Are they compatible with each other???

Its me again, SlimDandy. Aren't some of the styles you have on your site Style XP Visual types?? If so how to you tell one from the other. I just noticed something. I sound like a total IDIOT!! At 62 years old the brain cells disappear quickly.

Actually you sound more intelligent than most of the new commers here.

You won't find any Style XP skins here.

Slimdandy, the chances are that if you recognize a Windowblinds skin from something you have seen in StyleXP, then the latter is 'stolen work' from the WB skin.
Windowblinds greatly pre-dates StyleXP AND XP [the OS], too, for that matter, originating back with Win 9x...

And 62 doesn't make you the 'oldest', just a few years above average...

Jafo, there were a few 'names' in the StyleXP stable at first and a few good designs, but long gone I imagine.
Not that I've looked for quite some time!
