cannot logoff from wincustomize

connecting to wincustomize using IE6, when i click the red:

cmd=logoff

button at the top of the page, after the page reloads i am still logged in. i have deleted the wincustomize cookie and reloaded the page, but this makes no difference.

Try clicking on this link:

https://www.wincustomize.com/killcookies.asp

thanks T-Man, that did it!

out of interest, should this happen again, where should i look for the extra cookies?

it found and killed 4, but i couldnt find any in:

c:\documents and settings\colin\cookies\

i am logged into a win2k machine with a username of "colin"

Jafo, i wouldnt want to do you out of a job

That should fix the problem. The problem is that I need to change the way cookies are saved. They were being saved like [username]@www.wincustomize[1].txt now they are saving like [username]@wincustomize{1].txt. So because of this it was possible to have two wincustomize cookie files which would cause some things to not work properly.

That link above deletes both cookies so from then on you should only have one cookie file and all should be well.

Cookies are found in any of these three places:

c:\documents and settings\colin\cookies\
c:\documents and settings\colin\local settings\temp
c:\documents and settings\colin\local settings\temporary internet files

Each file can contain multiple cookies. WinCustomize uses about 4 different cookies.
