Rip report - WB skins for sale at Dezi Skins

Ah...that's the pesky Ruskies again.
I had a go at contacting them but I fear they are hiding behind a degree of language barrier, real or imaginary....

What is really needed is a genuine Russian speaker, and not a 'translating site', as I managed something like "Your spaceship is full of jellied eels", or similar...

My communication even made no sense to me, let alone the Ruskies...

It's not illegal to copy someone's product, especially if you think you can do a better job of it than the first ones to make it.

Still, that said, I wouldn't be surprised if it was ripped from WB.

And some of the prices are ridiculous (spelling jafo?). $41 (American $, I'm guessing) for 19 skins that look like sh*t and could easily be replicated via WB for free.

Arkadiy Istomin at Lighttek has always been very friendly and helpful to me, he might be able to help with the Russian part.

Sadly, I'm not sure if what they are doing is illegal in Russia, or what you could do about it if it was. They have very different standards on copyright and reverse engineering, if I am not mistaken.

What you need then is a Rusian who knows about copyright legislation.

By the way, am I deja vu-ing here or has this cropped up before?

I think it's something about my ISP's proxy server, since changing servers seemes to fix it for a while, then it goes back to how it was in the first place.

I realise that I didn't pick the best example, but what I meant was that you can do something in one country that might be illegal in another, but since your country has no laws against it, nobody can do anything about it.
