Pete Seeger Has Passed on at 94

A wonderful man who sang for us all is gone.

Pete Seeger sang for everyone. He basically created the folk music movement...the video above is of him singing at Farm Aid in 2013...at age 93.

He sang everywhere...from the White House to street corners, hobo jungles and migrant labor camps. He was a man of the people.

He was an activist. People were his cause. He helped write, arrange or compose “If I Had a Hammer,” “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?” and “Kisses Sweeter Than Wine” and popularized the anthem of the civil rights movement, “We Shall Overcome.”

He died at age 94 in New York after six days in hospital.

Rest In Peace, Pete.

Got to see him live in Topanga Canyon one evening, outside, late '80s. About 50-75 people and he played forever. All the favorites. God Bless You, Pete Seeger :')
