Object Desktop vs Individual purchases?

The Object Desktop seem to be a subscription and offers "Unlimited access to new product releases and updates".

 

I was wandering how this may (or may not) differ when buying each program individually. Is there a limit to the updates? Will I have to rebuy them at a latter point?

 

I plan on buying at least a few, but am trying to find the best value/method to do so with.

Individual purchases do not expire and you would get updates for that version. Typically when a major new version is released, it would be a paid upgrade but you would get a discount. With an active Object Desktop subscription, you always get the latest version.
