Campaign Spam off topic

Out of curiousity, how many of you have been getting campaign email spam?

I've been getting about 15 campaign spam mails a day for the past week or so. The sad part is, none of them are for people running in my state

For example, I live in North Carolina and I'm getting email bashing Gov. Davis

You'd think they'd at least do opt-in lists to weed out the people who not only don't live in their state, but live on the opposite side of the blasted continent!

None that I know off. Not that really I check what my spam filter intercepts or anything.

What annoys me is that my filters catch just about everything BUT campaign spam. I would fix it, but why bother when it'll all be over tomorrow.

none here. try Mailwasher. it lets you sort through your email before you download it and send 'bounce' messages back to all the ones you don't want. It's free, too. It seems to have dried up my spam a bit.

I have it, but (as far as I can tell) it doesn't work on http protocol email, which is what my 3 primary email accounts are.
