Pink Transparency in User Pics - WB

I know that I started another thread about this but I thought the need to get more specific at the top of one since there have been no replies. Treetog sometimes includes user pics in his wb skins that are nothing more than a square bitmap of the transparent pink color. I think that this is so you basically have no user pic, so that you can enjoy the art on the start menu. Problem is, when I use that as the user pic all I see is pink. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have skinstudio, go to the user pic & make sure transparency is enabled, with a setting of 255. That should tell windowblinds to ignore the pink (make it transparent)

That pink rectangle that most of us use is not the actual user pic, but the user pic background. Using a transparent background allows you to move around the actual user picture to where you want it (to a degree). The actual user picture is not set in the .UIS file, but from your account settings in XP. Hope this helps.

The pink square can't be used as a stand alone picture outside wb.

It is used as described by davad70 as an adjustment tool within wb

I can't for the life of me get rid of the User pic. I have done everything suggested. I'm running WB6.
Help please, SJN

If I understand correctly you are making a window blind and don't want a user picture in the start panel. Open Sks. In the section "user pane" you need to have "Hide user picture" set to "enabled" this will remove user pic.

Hope this helps (or at least I've understood you problem correctly)

You can turn off the user pic all together through windowblind settings.

Depending on which version of windowblinds you are using will determine if you need the skin set the way 2 of 3 showed above. Older version of windowblinds give the ability to turn off the user pic through WB settings and it did not matter how the skin was set.

With wb 6 beta, You can still change the setting in WB settings but the skin needs to be set to hide the pic just like above.
