my problem is that everytime i tyr to load a theme to my downloaded trial version software i get an error message saying "this file doesnt appear to be a valid desktopx theme file". the file is deffenetly a theme file cuz it came with the software and it has a dxtheme extension. i tried downloading another file from this site and it didnt work either. i have a pentium 4 1.7 256MB RAM and a geforce 2 with 64mb ram. PLEEEEEASE HELP. this software has great potential and i really dont want to uninstall it.

ehmzzz.....i think u are using Windowblinds to open skins and put them to work in Win XP....download a skin again and not save it to your disk but open....if i'm right it now is installed in your list of skins wich are standard installed in the program. Now click on your desktop and klik properties. Now click on appearance. Scroll down in Windows and Buttons...if nothing has gone wrong your skin should be in the list...or did i misunderstand the problem

One thing I've seen is that some themes are "double-zipped". For example, the theme may have the .dxtheme extension, but it's actually zipped. Try changing the extension to .zip and open it with WinZip or whatever you use for that...if there's just a single file with the .dxtheme extension, extract that and that should work.

Can't remember which themes I've seen that on, but there have been a couple like that.
