desktopx theme loading problem

i installed the program on windows 98se, turned off active desktop, seelcted a classic style browsing to my "my computer" windows and when i try to load a theme it says "this file does not appear to be a desktopx theme file"

i have a pentium 4 1.7 giga hertz 256mb of ram.

what's wrong with the darn thing?! please help!!!

If the file is a zip file, rename it with the extension .dxtheme and see if that helps. Can you get other themes to load? Are you using the trial version or did you buy it? Does the default theme load?
If you rename the file to .dxtheme it should show up in your list of themes.
Any more information you can give will help us to help you.

its a trial version the files im trying to load are the themes i got with the software, they have dxtheme extensions, i downloaded a theme and it didnt work either. i can see the themes when i press the load button button but when i double click on it i get the annoying message.

is there anything else that you need to know that might help?
