is it me or does everybody elses wallpapers keep getting rejected

You should have gotten an e-mail telling you why they were rejected. Did you? And yes most everyone at some time has had their works rejected.

Do you have a website of your own that you could post one to for me to look at?

Alternative, send one to me at [email protected] and while I'm not an admin, I think I'm getting a pretty good feel for their reasons.

Of course, Jafo (an admin) will probably answer this thread within an hour or so, he seems to be active now.

Everyone gets frustrated when one is not accepted, I think his complaint is that they're almost never accepted for him.

Another thing, don't bother with photographic wallpapers, I think LadyWolf is the only person who manages to get those up, everyone else's are rejected.

Something you might want to try is making your wallpapers into logons (using LogonStudio) and submitting then, logon standards are much more lax than plain jane wallpapers.

jobeleca, check out Mark Snyder, he does a ton of photo walls.

Ok, I didn't know about him (or at least remember). I just remember a couple of admins telling me in no uncertain terms that I could forget about doing photographic walls as they almost never were accepted.

jimbo_bob....quite a high percentage of submissions to the wall section are moderated, that is, fail to be accepted.
Depending on the bunch in the 'in-tray' you could see ALL of them being rejected, or maybe on average perhaps a quarter are accepted.

This can be for many alternate reasons, but first and fore-most, the section is for 'wallpapers' and not for 'pretty pictures', unless they also make good 'wallpapers'.
Walls are 'only' one part of Skinning an OS GUI, perhaps obviously the most 'popular' for people to do, but still only one part of the big picture.
There are a wealth of 'wallpaper' sites out there on the net, but what we try to provide here is a good 'selection' of walls, along with other proggy skins.
Were it not for 'moderation' we'd probably have about 5 or 6000 walls by now, and the vast majority would be significantly inferior in many ways, either that or we'd have a couple of thousand 'Britney's Boobs' walls...
