upload or not... that's the problem...

4 days ago I've made a screenshot based on the CopperDeck II theme from Treetog. In both my screenshots there's a modified wallpaper that people begin to ask to me. Initially I've made those wallpapers only for my personal use, but seen the success that they have met I thought to make them public available, so I first send them to Treetog to ask his permission, but Treetog didn't answered at all.
What I have to do? Upload them the same, don't upload, try to recontact Treetog?
Thanx

You must get permission from the original author to upload your modified wallpapers. If you do not hear from him, then I would take that as a no.

Yes, I think the same and of course I will not upload them, but it would be liked to me to receive at least an answer, even if negative...

NeonGod....I'm sure treetog will get back to you eventually. He's always busy, of course, and different time zones, etc. Just be patient.
If you upload it here he'll be bound to see it....but it will be held and/or rejected unless/until consent is granted.

The worst part of using another's work is the long, long wait for consent that 'may' not even come....I know....

Yes of course, my words did not want to be offensive of Treetog in any way, I consider sincerely Treetog one of the best skinners and indeed one of my favorites ever (half of all the skins are by him), nor I think that my modified walls are by force deserving (after all initially I didn't even thinked to post them for the public, I made them only for myself) especially compared to his great works.
Anyway maybe you are right and I've waited too much little time for an answer I hold to specify that I did not want to be critical in any way, but to only understand what to do in this cases, 'cause it's the first time I work on something that's not mine, so I was not sure of what I can and what I can't do
Thanx all for give me right suggestion
