IMHO suggestion to admins

I think it may be time to start looking for another moderator, the current process for submitting new skins (or even for simple updates of old skins) is painfully slow and could easily use extra eyeballs.

It's just after the weekend for most guys in the US....there's a couple of us in other parts of the world....awake while you sleep, but generally over the weekend even boring old Admins get a Real Life [tm] and do 'stuff'...

24 hours ago the Submission cue was empty....but some subs require 'lengthy' scrutiny for all sorts of reasons....mainly so we don't get too many 'ripped' works published, etc...

Have patience! The admins do a fine job (unpaid don't forget) and a few extra days wait isn't going to hurt.

Admins with a life, now there's a shocking concept!

I fully understand why new submissions need close inspection, however, I think that updates should go into a separate que which can basically be rubberstamped since they've already passed moderation once. Actually, you might as well just automate the update process since they've already been approved.

You guys do an excellent job, my suggestion was basically that more eyeballs lighten the workload and make things go faster.

Jobeleca....with updates there's always a chance that the 'wrong' work is uploaded....particularly with preview files that are named the same as others by that skinner/artist, overwriting more than one preview...and then there's the erroneous file upload....'oops, thought it was the skin update jpg, instead it was the office party bum photocopy'...

Yup, I had one of those yesterday, and the moderator didn't catch it. I'll have to re-up this evening.

However, that argument isn't a good one for doing things manually. I check everything after it has been uploaded, an automated system would allow me to fix any mistakes immediately.

Jobeleca....if you saw what gets uploaded here you'd be glad we DO check things...

I'm glad you check the new postings, it's the updated stuff I would like automated.

Believe me, I don't want this place to be a completely unmoderated deviantArt type place.
