Finding this very tough, maybe somebody can steer me in the right direction.

I been trying to get a hold of the author for the wallpaper that I used for the screenshot I posted up for "Tribute to the USA". I clicked the user's name of the wallpaper and email link is dead. Lately when I try to reach themexp.org all i get is site is down or url has too many visitors for an error. How can I get a hold of this person to be able to get permission to upload this wallpaper.

Can you post a link to the image, and tell us the authors nickname?, Maybe someone will recognise it or know where to find them.

Is a screenshot technically an upload? It's not like someone is going to use your screenshot as their wallpaper, is it? I don't see why you would need permission to show a screenshot of you using their wallpaper, I should think they would be pleased that you are using it.

If the wallpaper is only to be used/uploaded within a screenshot then provided it is 'reasonably' obscured by open windows, etc to prevent its re-use from that screenshot there is no need for permission, just preferably a credit so people will know its origin.

Prior permission is required for 'included' works by others, such as 'altered' skins, ports, and walls, etc included with themes or suites....
