Control how many rows of tiles are available on your start screen (8,1)

Hi, I'm using Windows 8.1 and I want to know if and when we can expect this option.

Thanks

I am afraid Microsoft removed the option for this in Windows 8.1.

That wasn't exactly the primary purpose of Decor8.  It was a nice to have thing we added in because the OS was capable, but it was hidden as a setting.

Ok, I understand. But when you mention on your website that Decor8 is 8.1 compatible, then I tought that all features are available (as shown in your video). The main reason for me why I bought this software was the row control.

On the features page it does say "[Windows 8.0 only]", but I will make sure there are no other references to that feature elsewhere that need that adding.

i just purchased Decor8 and didn't realize that this feature is not part of the software any longer.

can i get a refund?

i understand that it is Microsoft's fault, but it cripples the software to the point it isn't worth the $5 unless you want a paralaxing background (which i don't care for)

can you tip your hand if there will be some new features down the road to customize the start screen beyond just background augmentation?

Unfortunately Windows 8.1 removed the option for OS blur and the start menu is very restricted in what is allowed in the background.  Decor8 can blur its own images as it is in control of them, but the desktop itself is not possible. http://pass-4sure.us Deskscapes actually had an update to make that work in the start menu background on 8.1 as it would show a static copy normally.

Likewise the start menu cannot be made transparent other than making the entire thing transparent by a constant amount which would look terrible.
