Win 8.1: Decor8 and deskscapes problems.

I encountered a few problems with those programms on the new win 8.1. I do have the newest versions of both installed.

With Decor8 the parallax scrolling is not always working and it can take a lot of restarts of the win explorer to make it working again. Maybe changing the wb skin numerous times did help too. It also can get stuck on random again, while the system was running the whole time.

Deskscapes is currently not allowing me to use a hybrid or dynamic dream. When I choose one, the preview appears near the top of the screen (not placed in the config window!) and flickers. While the dream specific configurations are not available. The whole right part of the deskscapes window is just plain white. A new task appears, disappears and appears quickly again in the taskbar, labeled "button3".

With a normal video the preview is fine. But once I applied one and later choose a normal background picture again (through right click on a picture, with win explorer), the explorer.exe got stuck and needed a restart.

Unfortunately Microsofts idea of 100% compatibility differs from mine.

There will be an update next week.

Regarding Decor8, I am unaware of any issues with parallax scrolling failing to work.

I know from my old win 8, that sometimes changes in decor8 not applied, until I restarted the win explorer. No matter how much I played with the config window. After that, changes got applied right away, till it got stuck again.

That still happens for me on 8.1.

So it actually isn't new problem, I just have not used parallax scrolling before, which is affected. It also isn't a specific win 8.1 problem, which I first thought of.

Now I need to do more (and also luck), to get it working again. Which is starting to be a hassle, now that I encounter this state more often due to a not working parallax scrolling. I make changes there rarely, so it wasn't a big deal before.
