Looking for the German silver XP skin

I once saw a German girl's XP theme. I asked her where she got that skin, and she says it's how XP really looks for the German version. It looked very basic, but that's how I like it. Anyone know where I can get it? All the skins in this site are too fancy.

I highly doubt the German XP Silver theme looks any different than the English (or any other) distribution of Windows XP. I think she was pulling your leg. Is there a screenshot you can link to?

Your friend was right, in a way, but maybe she was teasing you a bit.

WinXP ships with several colour schemes, wherever you are, including a silver one, but the blue one (Luna) is the default.

Open up Display Properties, click on the Appearance tab, and try out the different options in the Colour Scheme drop-down list.

If it was basic WinXP with a different color, Mr Benn is right. It's an option in Display Properties/Appearance. That was what I was using before taking the plunge into WindowBlinds and all that other great skinning stuff.

Just choose Windows XP style under the Windows and Buttons: section, and choose Silver under Sub Design: .
