how do i deactivate active desktop?????

I am currently running Windows XP on my PC and i recently downloaded DesktopX(the trial version) and it is constantly asking me to disable Active desktop because it doesn't work well with desktopx. Also what is active desktop????

make sure yer icons are not hidden.try that.

unload desktop X when you right click on the small icon on you running task bar

Active Desktop is built into WinXP. You CANNOT turn it off. Try loading a bitmap as your wallpaper. That *might* do it.
