Best video card for Window FX

I am running a Dell Optiplex GX110 with a Pentium III processor. My video card is an Intel Chipset (82810E) built into the motherboard. Window FX performs minimally at best. When I click on the "performance" link in the Window FX properties window it tells me that "constant alpha blending" and "per pixel alpha blending" is not accelerated by these drivers.

Does anyone have an opinion on which video card works best with Window FX? I think I read where someone posted a message not long ago about one of the new Gforce cards working great with Window FX. Which one?

Thanks,

hoppes

I am running Window FX on my machine:

AMD XP 1800+
ATI Radeon 7200

This program is awesome, I have all options in FX enabled, runs smooth and very responsive!

I have a very cheap Nvidia MX 200, it does all the FX stuff no problem. It only has 32mb of memory but is noticably better than the graphics capabilities that are built into my intel motherboard. Good job for only $30.

I agree, I have WindowFX maxed out as well, and it looks nice. All the effects are accelerated and it looks and feels great.

I'm running:
AMD XP 1600+
ATI Radeon 64MB SDR (7200 equilivant)
256MB DDR RAM

For WindowFX and other types of 2D acceleration I would recommend a Radeon over a Geforce video card because, to me, ATI cards seem to out-perform the competition in terms of faster/prettier 2D graphics.

I refer you to this news story, with comments. https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=full&NewsID=1208

BTW, although Nakor from Stardock lists the Matrox G400/550 as one that works well, that's what I have (Matrox Marvel G450 eTV) and I am in the same position as you, and it's not a cheap card ($230 US). So, I don't know.
