Treeview icons

Can anyone help me figure out why treeview will only display the Windows default folder icon? When I change the look of the default folder for Windows, treeview still displays folders with Microsft default folder icon. Thanks! - [email protected]

I believe Citizen Slipstream Snake is running XP, since the same thing happened when I installed XP. Dialogs show default icons too!?

I expect windows takes the required icons straight out of the windows lls, so the only way to change then would be to hack the dlls and change the icons

Which I do not recommend...

To hack dlls? Hmm! How? I tried ResouceHacker, but it doesn't allow me to make changes to shell32

Why is it called a tree-view? To me it looks nothing like a tree. I propose a new name, Stair-view.

I was showing default icons in explorer until I installed a skin that had tree-view icons. But before that it did show the triangles in the folders but not in explorer.
