Normal. I have skins that are 6 years old with huge downloads and no comments. It's not so unusual, but is a shame.

On the other hand I've been around here over a decade and used to be a leading commenter. But, there are only so many ways you can say 'nice skin' before running out of the will to comment...

Yup. Those are good downloads.

It depends on the category. WB's get the most. Others like Rainlendar and smx get the least. IMO

Boy...sure took his time. 

I don't like to be rude at all... but maybe you would get more attention if you would take some time to make better dreams, instead of bringing the same unrealistic movement to photos over and over and over. You're really overdoing it... Every time i'm searching for high quality dreams... for nice, looped HD videos e.g. or 3D animations... i have to go through countless pages of that rediculous "animated" photos over and over... I don't like this "water" effekt since i've seen it the first time about 15 years ago... and i can't believe that it's still been used by someone... It's like a movie special effect from the 60's... It looks just awful... Not like water at all. It looks like photos with some pixelated, wobbling parts here and there...

Any of your dreams would be much more pleasant to look at as normal wallpaper. I find most the pictures very beautiful, and that strange wobbling totally destroys them. Take a video or leave it as a picture. You just can't make videos out of pictures. If you want to make this kind of dreams, then borrow a HD movie camera, go seaching for nice spots, record them and everything... That would be the honorable WORK of an artist. But it's just downloading a picture, selecting some parts and applying that awful fake-water-effect. Again and again. And the rest of the picture doesn't move at all. It looks unnatural. It's just fake. Ugly fake. Please stop it. Sorry for my brutal honesty. I don't like it to offend people, but i think some things has to be said some day.

At least i don't produce art like a machine. Using a filter is no art at all. I need several days to create just an icon. On my Window 7 visual style i've worked several weeks. On my WinAMP theme half a year. It takes countless nights of work untill i feel a project is ready to show it to someone.  Take your time and make something you can be really proud of.

Maybe the people are just to nice to be honest. Or they are just satisfied with the fact that something is moving in their wallpaper...

Or they rate only the scene. I'm not even sure if you took any of the photos by yourself...

Actually....how is that....when your OP refers to 10,000 downloads 'and NO comments'?

Typically there are only 3 reasons for a comment...

In order....

The subject is SO BAD it warrants comment.

The commenter is a sycophant.

The subject is SO GOOD it warrants comment.

The reasons for getting no comments...

The downloaders are lazy.

The subject is 'ho hum' aka bland.

Now that you have a public critique ....good or bad you have two choices....

Take the opinion onboard in good faith and perhaps rethink your approach.

or

Do nothing, dismissing the opinion/comment and continue receiving downloads-without-comment...;)

As with ALL Artwork....quality will always trump quantity...;)
