Do these programs leech system resources?

Is 256mb DDR RAM good? I'm about to add 512mb to that because Morrowind is a greedy resource gnome.

Do these programs have those annoying trial things?

If you click on the different libreries you can get an idea of the sizes. If you want my answer, it 20k to 5mg's, just depends on what your downloading. very little resource drain.
