Delay in WindowBlinds skinning

When I use WindowBlinds, there is a delay in the application of the skin selected when I switch programs. The program starts with a partial WindowBlinds skin (mostly colors) with the top displayed as a default Windows design and then flashes to the full WindowBlinds skin only when I click on it. I also get a descriptive header that covers the WindowBlinds skin and flashes when I move my cursor. Any suggestions re: the cause or is this normal?

Does it do this with all skins, or just certain skins?

Some skins are a little heavier on system resources than others. If you're using a "heavy" skin and running any apps that also use a lot of resources, chances are you'll have a couple problems once in a while. Of course, that would also depend on your system too.

Other than that, I have no idea what it could be.

I think we will need some more info to diagnose this problem. Would also suggest you post in the Newsgroups with this one, link below. Your system specs, version of WB, anyting else you can think of that might be conflicting with WB, etc..

Sounds very much like a conflicting program that's intercepting the "this window needs to be painted" messages and not passing them on to WindowBlinds. Do you have any other programs that affect the window (eg showing a time, adding extra buttons)? What is the "descriptive header"?

Thanks to all. I will post this on the Newsgroups link as well. I use Windows XP Professional on a Compaq Armada M700, Pentium III processor, 256 MB RAM, 28 GB hard disk. The descriptive header contains information about the program running, folders, time and date.
