AIM problems?

Ok, I'm just starting to use WindowsBlinds. I installed Sage as my skin and I love it! Just one problem:

When using the standard XP theme, you can minimize an AIM conversation window and when someoene replies, the button on the task bar will flash orange telling you that they have replied. Then I can restore the window and reply. This makes it easy to hold multiple conversations because you are easily notified when someone is talking to you.

But with Sage, this doesn't happen. I tried playing with the button frames in SkinStudio but that didn't help... any ideas?
What do I have to do to get this feature back?

Thanks!

WindowBlinds didn't support the flashing task button when Sage was made. WindowBlinds 3.4 introduced that feature, so most of the newer skins should support it.

Should be easy enough to add a flashing button by cutting one out of the taskbar buttons. But don't tell anyone I said to do that

Sally...there's no law against modifying and adding to a skin for your own use....just as long as you don't upload it anywhere.
Although, if you do a great job of enhancing/updating a skin, contact the original author and he/she will probably be happy for you to release it, credits included, etc...

Ok, so my next question is,
if I want to make a new skin from scratch in Skin Studio (version 2) how do I do make the flashing buttons?

And by the way, Mike, I just downloaded your "Spectre" skin. It's awesome! I think it's exactly what I was looking for: good looks without sacrificing function.
I've tried a ton of skins so far but so many of them have the good looks but don't function well for an OS environment. Thanks again!

I just started making skins and more or less it is familarizing yourself to the parts and then the margins. IMO I made the skin 5 of 4 for the purpose of learning margins. The wizard in SkinStudio sets up a skin you can tweak on. You can also import widgets.

Thanks, MyIdeaWasTaken. As for the flashing task button, make sure you have the latest version of SkinStudio first. I'm not sure what version number started including the WB3.4 features, but it was within the last few months. The section in called Taskbar Flashing Button. It appears under the Taskbar Button section, which appears under the Taskbar section. You may have to use the Add Section button in SkinStudio to add it to your skin. If it isn't on the list of sections you can add (and it isn't already added to the skin), then your version of SkinStudio is probably too old. The image itself is a single button that should be the same size as your task buttons. I hope that helps.
