Ribbon UI Issue

So windowblinds is now out fully for windows 8, Im loving it but why cant the Ribbon UI be skinned? Some skins just look out of place with a white bar mixed with darker colors. (1.)

On a side note, how do I change the white parts as shown in (2.)

Hi there

Right now it's not possible to change the ribbon top bar and the explorer statusbar from Windows 8,

but I believe we'll be able to on the future, some bits are just harder to get into skinning, mostly

because they are totally new, but like in previous versions of WB against new OSs, more goodies

always come with time.

About the Explorer sidebar (left) you can change it just like you did in Windows 7,

Edit Explorer Parts > Folders bar > Extra settings tab

In the past, you had to also had to have some sort of graphic for the folders bar (even thought it's a vista/unused part) or the color change wouldn't work.

Is that still the case, Dani?

hey 2of3,

Yes, you still need to set a graphic to make the section active, but the color in the "Extra settings" tab that will define what you see.

Is there any way to force the BG color to be semitransparent or does it only allow non transparent colors?

It's not possible to get semi-transparency there, not right now, as I said on reply 3,

the image is just a placebo that triggers the color setting, "you still need to set a graphic

to make the section active, but the color in the "Extra settings" tab that will define what you see."
