Limpid pool of inspiration... beginner's need help!

*yodel*

I'm relatively new to the site and have recently started making wallpapers on Photoshop 6.0. But I'm lacking in inspiration. So... I thought I'd ask what everyone would like to see. What captivates your attention when it comes to desktop walls?

I know a lot of you have great talent in digital art and I reallyyyyy am in awe... *bowing* You guys are amazing!

Anyway, I'd also like to start this board message so that people like me (i.e. amateurs) can come to for help, support and well... whining about how we can't get it right - yet!

Plus, would be great to get to know the people who frequent the site.

I like futuristic cityscapes...kind of a Blade Runner theme, or something along those lines. Dunno how you would create a skin to reflect it, though. A wp would be easy enough, even more so if 3d software were used, I suppose.

Oh, and welcome!

Im one of those people whose taste seems to change with the mood I'm in. What I usually go for though is something that's not going to look clutterred with my desktop icons when I have them visible. And it's gotta flow. I don't like walls that look "choppy".

But if you can come up with somehting to go with a WindowBlinds skin that's inspired by the old 1930's style radios, I'll be your best friend *s*... that is, of course, if I can think long enough to finish this skin..hehe

I get a lot of inspiration from looking at Photoshop tutorial sites. I practice the various tutorials on offer, and then I usually find I am inspired to make a wall using my new found ability.
I guess it's a matter of what kind of walls you would like to make, so, find one that you like and try to re-create it, I'm sure you will end up with something original as the ideas always go off at a tangent once you start.
You will find good tutorials here: http://www.photoshoproadmap.com

Have fun!
