The talented skinners are all much too humble to be the first one to thank you for your thoughts and appreciation, so allow an untalented closet skinner to thank you.

Thank you for the kind words, three_4me. I really do appreciate it. I don't want to discourage new skinners, however.

I like to make analogies, so here's one. Most musicians start out playing cover songs, right? Eventually, if they have what it takes, they find their own sound and write their own original music. Hopefully some of these brave new skinners will find their own sound soon.

/me notes that it ain't easy to skin WindowBlinds, and it's even harder to submit one for public ridicule.

Sorry it took me so long to thank you for your wonderful words. I'm truly honored that you would include me amongst these incredible skinners. I just wasn't how to say thank you without bashing someone elses work.

Dan, you have obviously been here long enough to know better than that. The skin you poke fun at shows a great deal of time effort. While it may look similar in style to others, haven't skins over the years always done so. Don't point fingers, just move on to the next one...

I wasn't trying to point any fingers, I apologize if that's how it came across. My primary goal was just to thank all the great skinners (IMO) for all the work they put into this stuff.

No problem, sometimes written communication can come across the wrong way. Glad to hear it wasn't intended that way. It's happened to me many a time as well!

First of all, i would like to tahnk three_4me, as Mike said, I also feel really honored.

Now, in my opinion, the reason for us to have some similar skins lately, as I said on another thread some weeks ago, is that today, if you see in the left colum, we have 1900+ different skins uploaded just on this site. Johanne and me, have a some other dozens of skins that we can't upload, because they were custom made.

So, every day, it becomes more and more difficult for us to creat a new button or a tiltebar that was not being done before.

Another point, some authors, have a style and they are loyal to it. Using Adni18 as an exemple, his skins can look a bit similar, one to another, but he is allways emprooving, doing his best on every new skin. Other then that, the hundreds of thousands of people that downlands his stuff can't say he is not a great author...because yes, for sure he is.

With all my respect to this thread and all skinners.
