Strange anomaly after installing SP1

Installed SP1, then rebooted as requested. Everything looked good. WindowBlinds continued to work. Last skin I was using before the update loaded up no problem.

Then I opened Control Panel. The window showed just 8 empty colums, with the one on the right end having an arrow at the top of it. I pressed the arrow and it gave me a menu. But there was nothing on the menu that would help. So, I closed Control Panel. Immediately, the taskbar turned black. I could see nothing on it. However, when I hovered over the approximate area where the Start Button should be the Start Menu popped up, only it was not skinned, but was displayed as the Windows Classic style. So, I reinstalled the skin. This time, the taskbar was visible, but, like the Start Panel, was showing the Windows Classic style. All other windows were skinned. Only the Taskbar and Start Menu weren't.

So, I rebooted the system one more time. Everything now works. I opened Control Panel and it is fine. The Taskbar and Start Menu are fine.

Go figure!

Hi Tim,
It happens sometimes to me too, when I am making my skins, but after a reboot everything is back to order. Annoying but no big problem.
However, I didn't have install the SP1 for Windows XP yet

Thanks Nikos. This is the first time it happened to me. Right after I installed the XP SP1 update.

At least now I know it isn't something to important.
