umm...I downloaded a theme, but my comp won't recognize it

I'm running XP Home, and the file is saved as a *.dxtheme
I've tried renaming it as a *.theme file, but my comp just sends me an error...
I don't have desktop X. Do I have to download it? That seems kind of screwy, being able to make themes that only other desktop X users can download...

*.dxtheme are only made for DesktopX, so yes you must download DesktopX to use it.

Morwen, most of the skins you'll find here needs a third party program to run them. A desktop X theme need Desktop X, a Windowblnds skin needs Windowblinds, a Nextstart theme needs NextStart, a Winamp skin needs Winamp, etc.
Really wallpapers don't need another program, and to some extent IconPackager files.
