June 5 this year was our 20th anniversary...and, WOM, my math says that I'd hope there was 2.5 times as much 'happiness' in the next 50...

15 years just last week (August 27th). Completely happy together still. Still waiting for the honeymoon to end.

It will continue to get happier Pretender.

I just remembered one main thing that my dad told me when I got married. He and my mother have been married 51 years. The thing he told me was this:

"Marriage is give and take. Your mother gives the orders and I take the orders. "

That philosophy has worked for me too.

Then again, it would be wise to marry _your_ girlfriend and not someone else's anyway. So your earlier version was fair enough. Safe one: "I will get married on [inbsert date]".

June 7th we had our 11th anniversary. We have a weird and wonderful relationship, she's weird, and I'm wonderful!
