I am going back to school!

I am trained and experienced in the medical field. I have been trying to force myself to go back but thinking about going back to the Emergency Department feels like going to war. I still can feel the broken ribs of the last lady I gave CPR to, see the light go out in her eyes. I never could get over being squeemish over body fluids, I can feel the exact temperature of a rather large bag of stuff the doctor handed me once (and see his surprise at my reaction). I will probably go wash my hands just thinking about it.

Anyways, it was coming here and interacting with folks like you that helped me decide. I think if you have an affinity for the people working in a field, then that is a good thing. I will study something computer related. Now I don't have that pressure feeling any more. Now the future seems more hopeful.

I just wanted to thank you all for that.

I jumped from military flying to software engineering in 1984 and have never seriously regretted it. I LIKE going to work in the morning. Just follow your heart.
