Trying to get an existing WB skin to use bitmap for mouseover on places and programs on start panel and it works for a while. I got the latest 3.4 version and the latest version of skin studio (I'm an OD subscriber). I tried adding it on the uis file using notepad too but when I reboot or change skins and then back it's gone. Back to the normal color mouseover. Am I missing something or am I just dense.

Hmm, it's hard to say what's going on there. My only suggestion is to make sure the [StartMenu.ButtonBackground] section is in the .xp file. Hopefully someone with a better idea will come along.

did you try saving the file to its self before changeing skins?
