LogMeIn incompatibility

Hi all

I've been using Multiplicity (Full Version) for about 3 weeks to manager my local desktop. I've used it in the past on monitorign machines, and it's brilliant.

One issue I've found with the desktop though, is that Multiplicity seems to interfere with LogMeIn (Remote PC Management, http://www.logmein.com).

When I control my machine through LMI with the Stardock service enabled, the keyboard and mouse don't respond. I can only get a response when I use LMI's 'soft' CTRL+ALT+DEL button, and then the mouse/keyboard work fine in the Windows Lock screen. As soon as I revert back to the desktop, they're dead again.

Stopping the Multiplicity service solves the probelm, so I'm pretty sure it's a Multiplicity/LogMeIn incompatibility

Has anyone else come across this problem? Is there any workaround? I would need a way for Multiplicity to 'ignore' LogMeIn as a program, or ensure that it parses the keystrokes from LogMeIn. Or, alternatively, a way to disable the Stardock service when it detects LMI 'activating'. LMI has ana gent that runs in the background 24x7, and without the agent running you can't connect, so I can't start LMI only when needed.

Unfortuantely I LMI a lot to control my PC from home, so if I can't find a way around the issue I'll have to say goodbye to Multiplicity :(

Any assistance would be appreciated

Regards,

Sam

Hi Sam,

I have the same issue, it even happens during full screen applications as well. Right now I have my settings set to only shift screens when I hold down the "Shift" key. I'm not sure if this is part of the reason it causes the ghosting with ALT CTRL and SHIFT. I do not restart the service to get past the locking though, simplying mashing ALT, CTRL, and SHIFT a couple of times seems to "un-lock" the keys for me between switching things.

Let me know if you find a permanent solution for this!

I too have the problem with Windows 8.1 with the latest updates.  I have found that it appears it doesn't accept some of the mouse clicks because application windows appear to not open or at least not be visible.  If I toggle between LMI Dashboard and then back to Remote Control the application window appears.  This seems like Windows event hooks are not being handled properly by LMI or Stardock and it is failing to repaint the screen.

I suspect the issue is with LogMeIn given that there is a report of it with Start8 + LogMeIn which doesn't use hooks like that at all!
