I need help by nonXP user, and one requestion about icon sizes

Hi. I release always my icons for WindowsXP. But i receive a lot af emails requesting a version of my last icons for nonXP. The results aren't good, but i'm being boring with this kind of spam! So, i decided to release these icons for nonXP systems.
-I need help by a nonXP user: for testing if the icons looks correctly in nonXP systems (98, Me specially). Interested on help me, please e-mail me at [email protected]
-My requestion about icon sizes are: Wich is the top icon size in nonXP Windows systems? 32x32 pixels?
Thanks

I can't help with the nonXP testing, but I know XP supports icons up to 128x128 pixels.

hmm. It just occurred to me that you may have meant the most popular size, not the largest. I usually use 48x48, but will occasionally go up to 64x64.

people make such stunning icons these days, (yourself included, I love the Noia series) staying at 32x32 seems a shame.

thanks for the comment, kenlin. i think that the best maximum size for XP are 64x64. IconPackager supports 72x72, but don't works correctly, so all my new icons are max 64x64 pixels for Icon Packager, and 48x48 for the .ico files

IMO 48x48 shows well on Win98 or Win2k. Looking forward to the releases.

48x48 is the highest without any other program modifiing anything. 32x32 is normal, but if you go to display properties etc you can get 48x48. I would go for doing 16x16, 32x32 and 48x48 .

I don't know if this is a silly question or not, but why do you need a non XP tester?? XP displays older icons fine.

Thanks for your comments.
Splash! i released a nonXP version at beginning. On Xp looks fine, but the nonXP users looks the background in black.
I released another version again, https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=2&SkinID=859 , that i think is correct.
