SkinStudio Help- Caption font glow

So this is my first time actually working on a windowblinds skin. I am having a hard time locating where the glow behind the font is for the titlebar caption. This is modified off of the Win8 theme included with windowblinds if that makes any difference.

Here is a picture of what I mean.

Looks to me like that is just a text shadow. Check your fonts settings

edit fonts

show me the skin fontst presets

title bar active inactive are the ones you want.

Just change the text at the bottom left.

You can add glow and such through the frame section to highlight .

Hope it helps. If not, someone will come along.

Looks like you will have to adjust the blur effect and alpha too. Those are little sliders under the text settings where I said to check the font shadow.

sorry doortech, your initial response has been screwed by the site. It looks like you hit the return key after every letter and is posted side by side with the OP. (IE8)

The glow behind the font can be changed removed easily by switching to another font from the pull down text menu.

The glow can also be changed removed by clicking on the button next to the text (edit text button), then click on the "change font" button, the next window will have options down on the lower left side, change the setting to "normal text, no effects".

Office products will have a glow behind the text and these can NOT be changed.

To modify the glow on this font. You have to go to change fonts and select "Active Caption" it's the "shadow fixed blur" option that gives it this glow.

Edit, found it. Nevermind. lol

I have the font all the way to the right, but when I maximize it goes back to the center + looks messed up. How do I align the font to the left while maximized?

End of doortech1's quote

I have been searching through the program for about an hour now.. I cannot find where this aero gradient is in skinstudio. Its very faint but I think you may be able to see it

Under window frames per pixel and uis frames, there are position settings for the text. You have to set for max and boxed positions. Go to that frame section, look at the bottom and you will see text settings under the text section

If you are asking about where you have that arrow pointing , that is under control panel, branding.
