Really Slick Screensavers

What are some of your favorite screen savers?

Just ran across the following site, where they have a few very cool screen savers, particularly Skyrocket. http://www.reallyslick.com/

I think it's really hard to beat the Serene Aquarium screen saver. It is amazingly realistic. Only problem is, you need a really good CPU and/or graphics card to get the most out of it. http://www.serenescreen.com/

Ambient Reality also have some very cool screen savers, including one that simulates clouds and another that simulates rippling water. http://artyware.com/default.htm

I like Dreamrender as both my screensaver and my desktop. http://www.dreamrender.com/

I used the psychedelic screensaver for years. You know what just happened? I went back to that site to redownload it again, and get the URL. They have a really neat one called hypnogenic screensaver. That was the last thing I installed before I turned my new computer off. The next day I had to reformat. Well..... now I redownloaded it and NORTON popped up and said that KLEZ was in there! Maybe that is what happened last week, KLEZ got in because I didn't have Norton set up correctly (I am a Mcafee user and I don't know Norton). www.synthesoft has a lot of beautiful screensavers but right now don't download. I wrote to them.

The other one I like a lot is:

Star Message is a really sweet little screensaver. I like it a lot (you can program it to write messages in stars) and it has a lot of other neat functions. The guy who made it is Greek and he sounds really nice.

My fav of all time is Voodoolights, which unfortunetly is getting harder to find. Well worth the 19 bucks I spent to register it, everyone who's seen it running on my laptop or at home wants to know where I got it.

Well, I got e-mail back from Synthesoft and they are indeed infected with a virus (I didn't know that could happen to entire ISPs, but they said that is what happened).

This thread made me remember another old classic... the Electric Screensaver! http://www.geocities.com/Paris/LeftBank/1140/electric.html

Tarkus, I really like that plasma screensaver that is on Really Slick Screensavers! Thanks for the link. I am still exploring the other ones.

Wow, I remember the Electric Screensaver. It was one of my favourites. Another was the flying gnats which came with AlteredSaver - I could watch them for hours!

Actually, MSN made a good screen saver called Bliss. It is made for XP and matches their bliss wallpaper. It is free, and I can't understand why they didn't include it with XP. It is a realistic depiction of a grassy field, blue skies and drifting clouds. http://www.microsoft.com/WindowsXP/pro/downloads/bliss.asp

I guess you can guess that I love the screensavers.
