It seems every time I look at the message board lately there is someone complaining about the way this site is run. To the credit of the community there is a lot of defenders of the site, and to them I say “Good for you”. However, I think it is time someone said thank you to wincustomize / stardock, and the admins that put in a lot of effort, and more importantly bandwidth, to what I think is a superb site.

I do not mean to start a debate on the 100 mag cap, Stardocks motives, or any of that. I believe that value has to be paid for. And I think Stardock is doing a great job, I show that buy buying their products and subscribing to this site, that the highest form of praise a business can get.

I know what it is like to lose money on a site, I know bandwidth cost, and I know that wincustomize is a great value.

In short,

Thank you Stardock...
For making great apps, and supporting the Skinning community, (Even for none Stardock Apps)

Thank you Wincustomize...
for giving me and others a high quality site, were we can share and download some of the best skins on the web.

Thank You Skinners...
for doing such good work, and making this site a place that is worth coming back to every day.

Ok, ok, ok I agree we with all of that, but I would like to register some more thanks to mormegil, the best icons creator (in my opinion) that makes such wonderful iconpack themes making our desktops complete with all the skins and walls uploaded here.

After making a few iconpacks, I can tell you it is much more harder and time consuming then almost all skins or themes and in the top of that, he also make them in all possible resolutions and formats, also creating tons of extra icons.

Boy! this guy rocks my desktop!

You won't find a better skinning site than this one. It's an honour for me to be involved with it. And, take it from me, the guys over at Stardock are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. I cannot stress that enough. I sometimes deal with them "behind the scenes", and they are a real caring bunch of folks who will go out of their way to help you.
And as you know, most of the admins here are volunteers, and I can tell you that they are extremely dedicated and passionate about WinCustomize. They are all level headed guys (except me!) who care about you and your skins. I would like to say thank you to my colleagues for being as good as they are!
And Mormegil, you are the icon man!!

I wonder where I would be without wincustomize??? That is actually a true statement.

It is the best site on the net, bar none. Aside from my recent, brief encounter with the 'dark side', I have always enjoyed coming here and seeing all the amazing work that is on display. As have I enjoyed conversing with the varied and extremely interesting members.

There are only 2 negative things I can say about this site.

1. My CPS is getting worse!
2. My butt is getting wider!

Really, thanks for a great site, but especially thanks for the infinite patience of all the admins (especially David K), during my recent brush with infantilism. (What was I thinking?? )
