Missing Exclude this icon from Fences' quick-hide [Fences 2.0 Final]

I'm using Fences 2.0 Final, the Exclude this icon from Fences' quick-hide context menu is missing from icons outside fences. Is this intended? Because the original Fences can exclude icons from quick-hide even if they are not inside a fence.

Any other people experiencing this?

Yup. Gone here, too.

It would appear so, and for me it's a deal-breaker.

Sorry guys, I know you can't please everyone all the time, but I'll be digging up my Fences 1.0 setup file from where ever I backed it up to and won't be shelling out for 2.0 until this issue is fixed.

I don't expect it's intended.

Looks like it 'fell off' the list of functionality.  I'd imagine it'll be back...;)

A workaround that I found is for you to place the icon inside a fence first then exclude it from quick-hide, after that remove it from the fence. The icon then will be excluded from quick-hide even if it is not inside a fence. It works for me. I will be using this workaround until Stardock fixes it.

Interesting workaround....will likely lead to a viable solution....;)

Unfortunately I have the same problem but the workaround doesn't work for me.

It might have to do with upgrading from Fences 1 to Fences 2 as I had a few items on the desktop that were excluded from the quick hide while I was using Fences 1. After upgrading to fences 2 these excluded items were excluded from the quick hide and I had no way to un-exclude them. Even placing these excluded icons into a fence and using quick hide doesn't hide the icon.

The quick-hide feature doesn't work on some program shortcuts. I can not recognize the reason for this behavior.

Windows 8 Pro x64 with Start8
Asus P5P43TD Pro
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 3.00GHz
ATI Radeon HD 5850 1GB
Corsair XMS3 3x 4GB DDR3
Creative Audigy 2 ZS
Samsung SH-S222A

Am having the same problem after upgrading to newest version.  Recycle bin shortcut will not exclude.  Have tried putting it inside a fence, excluding that fence, and then dragging out the icon, but no go.

Also, there is no right click option to exclude individual icons, only fences. I have emailed support.

Hi werewolf, what I do in my case is drag the recycle bin icon inside a fence, then right click the icon (not the fence) then select exclude icon, after that drag the icon out of the fence.

I just updated my Fences to 2.01, the problem is still there. I hope they fix this soon.

Hey!! That worked!!  Thanks for that.

I use the new version of fences 2.01, but the problem still exist. Only the application Nero Burning Rom has the option "Exclude this icon from Fences quick-hide".

What is about the mark <'> behind Fences? Looks strange for me. Could it be that the quick-hide problem is a language pack  problem?

Me too.  Over three weeks and it hasn't been fixed?  Wasn't caught in testing?  Hard to understand.

I really hope for a fix as this is very essential.

Waiting on the devs now.

It would seem they are too busy counting the cash from their Win 8 desktop replacement to make Fences 2 usable.

So what's the hold up?  Wednesday will be two months since the emails for Fences 2 went out.
