Absolutely! Of all the shareware and software that I have bought (and it is a considerable amount), Object Desktop is one of the best. I'm in my second year of using it and I love it as much today and when I first discovered it.

YES

absolutely... WindowsFX, Webblinds, Windowblinds, ObjectBar, Object Edit, IconPackager and Logon Studio are all getting a workout on my machine... and then there's also DesktopX, SkinStudio, Winstyles and a bunch of other utilities...

yep - it's more than 'worth it'...

If your asking us (and you obviously are) then yes. I think use users might be bias so I will try to give you a honest opinion

It rocks!!! Hard!!

There are a few bugs that I have noticed after using it for over 3 months. Not all of the features work (but who needs them?) For a program in its first stage of evolution, it is pretty damn good.

It is so good that I have many plans for it in the future as far as design. I want to show my alumnus the program so maybe they will allow it to be taught in school for Electronic Design and MultiMedia. It would be a nice addition to the other programs taught.

I am waiting for the full version 2 before I aproach the idea to my school. I truly believe this is going to be a very big thing.

So get it while it's cheap!!

I bought Object Desktop mainly for WindowsFX, but now I regularly use WindowBlinds, ObjectBar, Object Edit, Tab Launchpad, and WinStyles. It's fantastic! It's like having the beauty of a Mac, but with a PC.

vimalkumar, if I were you, I'd try a few of the trial version first.
Object Desktop has a lot of cool stuff, but I found personnaly that in the end I really only use Windowblinds. But, what I like about my Object Desktop subscription is that if I wanted to use it, I could. And once in a while, I actually do. I run Desktop X or Objectbar for a day or two.
As for Windows FX2, try the trial version if there is one because it's useless on a few computers that don't have the kind of graphics adapter needed and/or the proper drivers. It doesn't work on any of my 2 computers.

So, in the end, don't rely on people: see for your self: download and run the trial versions. If there are more than 2 programs you like, then it's worth it (20$ per program vs 50$ for Object Desktop).

tho' the package is great once
you spend the time with it.

depends on what you're looking for.

Listen to paxx! You might not want it all, and you could save some money for other proggies like Hoverdesk, or NextSTART. I have all 3 and find that all I really use from OD is WindowBlinds.

You can never have enough skin appications. I've purchased and registered Object Desktop (DesktopX,ObjectBar,WindowsBlinds, WindowsFX), WinStep (NextSTART and Workshelf), and HoverDesk. All have something unique to offer a desktop enthusiasts. (Did Jafo mention LiteStep yet? )

As Paxx said, there's a lot to choose from so you may want to download trial versions of the above to see what suits your fancy

Just bought it! Still exploring. Love the easy downloads and installs. Had bought about 4 of the individual programs and love em. Wish I had bought Object Desktop sooner would have saved a little money. Any problems, try the stardock newsgroups and here. Lots of support. Well worth the money!

There's a lot of Good Stuff [tm] in OD, but me being pre-occupied with LiteSTEP mostly only use Windowblinds, as that is the one single thing that goes best with LS, enhancing it perfectly...

I really do not like the trail versions mostly because it does not have the features. I had the trail version of windowBlinds and I am glad I went ahead and bought it anyway because the trail version was not as advanced. But I have to admit that paxx is right about look and feel it out.

BTW:
I was one of those who just bought 1 program (WindowBlinds) because I thought the others were not really that interesting. Then, I think a month later I ened up upgrading to Object Desktop. Even then I upgraded for another program (Skin Studio) and fiured that I might as well get the whole thing.
Now look at me. Here almost every day and have like 100 designs on my computerAND I think I downloaded 400mb of "stuffs"

This program changed my life!!!
I need a moment....
